The British Council is the International Partner for Festival UK* 2022, supporting the delivery of the festival’s international engagement programme.
The British Council is engaging with Creative Teams to help enable international opportunities for the projects at an early stage in their development, with an ambition to establish international partnerships and reach global audiences.
The British Council will support new relationships between creative organisations and practitioners overseas and the project teams behind the ten commissions. Together we will drive a global conversation about the importance of creativity in people’s lives and in our shared futures, and its contribution to social and economic development in societies around the world.
Festival UK* 2022’s objectives of bringing people together and showcasing UK creativity and innovation internationally align closely with the British Council’s mission to build connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and other countries through arts and culture, education and the English language.
